Terms & Conditions
Please read these in full, as payment for the services represents your acceptance of them.

Limitation of Liability:

You acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in dog-related services (group classes, training walks, 121 sessions or online training) provided by Behave with Hayley, with knowledge of the potential dangers.

You are responsible for informing me of your dog’s medical, social and behavioural history, or any concerns that you have when asking me for personalised advice. This includes updating us on any incidents or changes to behaviour that occur after you provide initial information to me and between classes or 121 visits.

You acknowledge that dogs are unpredictable animals with their own will and drives, and therefore regardless of training, handling or environmental circumstances, Behave with Hayley, cannot protect against every potential injury, risk or accident to you, to members of the public, to other persons participating in the training, training walks, or in the area the training is taking place. These may include dog bites, dog attacks and the complications that may arise from them, and you understand that such risks are inherent and cannot be eliminated. This agreement is intended to shift the risk of participation in dog-related services to you. By agreeing to them you are willing to assume the risk to yourself, your dog, and others who might come into contact with your dog during the course of services provided by Behave with Hayley. This includes any location, including your own home, a training venue or a public place.

Whilst you are present, you remain responsible for the actions of yourself and your dog, and it is recommended that you have adequate pet insurance that covers 3rd party liability, in the unlikely event that damage is caused by your dog to property or to a third party.

Whilst I take every reasonable precaution, I am not liable for any injury, illness, or death of your dog(s) that occurs during our service, unless caused by my gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Loss/Damage: I am not responsible for any loss or damage to your property or your dog's belongings (e.g., leashes, toys) unless caused by my gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Dog-to-Dog Interaction: I cannot guarantee the behaviour of other dogs encountered during training sessions or walks, and am not liable for injuries or incidents caused by interactions with other animals.

Force Majeure: I am not liable for any failure or delay in performing my obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or unforeseen emergencies.

Behave with Hayley has suitable insurance in place to cover the running of 121 & group training, the provision of dog behaviour advice, and dog walking.
Expected Results:

While I believe that for most people, following my programmes and methods will lead to desired results, the success of any training and behaviour plan is subject to several factors. Results will be affected by the effort and commitment of the guardian, as well as any genetic predisposition, health and prior learning of the dog. I therefore, provide no warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to: 1. the effectiveness of any techniques, advice, plans or programmes that I deliver; or 2. the results that you may achieve as a result of following my programmes. All testimonials shown on my website or in my content are from real people who have followed the plans provided by me. For the avoidance of any doubt, however, they are not indicative of the results that you are likely to achieve, rather they are included as examples of the results that particular individuals have achieved.
Payment:

Payment should be made in full, prior to commencing any training programme or event. I do not currently have the facility to offer payment plans. Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received. You will receive a reminder to make the payment, but in the event that this is not paid, the programme or event will be cancelled and you will be notified.

Health Considerations:

All puppies attending socials should have had at least their first set of vaccinations. Your vet will be able to advise you when it is safe for your puppy to attend. By agreeing to these terms and conditions it is assumed that you have taken advice from your vet that it is safe for your puppy to attend.

If your dog has signs of discharge (eyes, nose, mouth, genitals) coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, fleas, ticks or open wounds, or you suspect they are generally unwell, please do not bring them to group sessions. This prevents cross-infection as well as worsening of any condition your dog might present. If your dog is unable to attend, I still encourage you to come along as you will continue to learn and can practice the practical training at home.

Please do not bring any dogs that have been in contact with kennel cough to group sessions and inform me before any 121 sessions.

It is not always appropriate to bring females in season grpup sessions, so please inform me if you suspect this is about to happen and I can discuss this with you.

Please advise me in advance, if you have any conditions that I can assist with, to make sure the classes are accessible for you.

For 121 sessions, please keep me up to date with any health changes, signs of illness or dogs due into season, so we can decide if it is appropriate and safe to go ahead with sessions.

Food for training is usually advised to be 'high-value' - something that your dog is highly motivated by. Please use these foods sparingly, particularly if they are higher fat items. If your dog has any medical conditions that affect their diet, you will need to use a suitable food for their needs.

I aim to provide holistic guidance that includes advice on training, behaviour, and general well-being. This often involves discussing aspects of your dog's nutrition and diet as they can significantly impact behavior, energy levels, and health.

However, please be aware of the following:
-
I am a Certified Dog Trainer, not a Veterinary Professional or Registered Canine Nutritionist. Any suggestions, opinions, or information I provide regarding your dog's food, supplements, ingredients, or feeding schedule are based on my experience and general knowledge of canine behavior and the pet food industry.
-
This is Not Veterinary or Medical Advice. The information I share is not a substitute for professional veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment. It is general advice intended to support your dog’s training and behavioral progress.
-
Your Responsibility. You, the owner, are solely responsible for all decisions regarding your dog's health and diet. Before making any significant changes to your dog's current feeding regime, or if your dog is showing any signs of illness, allergies, weight issues, or adverse reactions, you may want to consult with your primary vet / qualified canine nutritionist
-
No Guarantee or Liability. I cannot and do not guarantee the results of any dietary changes on your dog’s overall health or behaviour. I assume no liability for any illness, injury, or other issues that may arise from following or misinterpreting the nutritional suggestions I provide.
-
I do not ever recommened one particular type of diet or impose my personbal approaches on you, rather, I encourage you do your own research, make your own decisions and consult with suitably qualified experts where appropriate.
